I’ll be honest, most of the people on my list are not easy to shop for and I’m sure you are feeling the same struggle. I decided to help us both out and come up with a list of the top 4 unique gifts that your friends and family will actually want to receive this year!
Better yet, they are all handmade here locally in the greater-Akron area!
Get your credit cards ready because you are going to love this list and I bet your Christmas shopping will be done by the time you get through this blog post! If you are anything like me you might end up buying yourself a little something too!

Top 4 Unique handmade Gifts for this gift giving season
1. Anything at Wood for Brains
You have never seen anything like this amazing shop!
Clark is seriously an artist! If you got one of my awesome Polaroid Christmas tree ornaments last year then you already know how awesome Clark is! You seriously have to go check out his Etsy Store!
He has everything from Tree of Life pendants, bubbles earrings, to the full set of National Lampoons Christmas ornaments! There are so many different options and I bet you can find something for nearly everyone on your list!
I love the ornaments (the Ohio one is my favorite and I already know one person on my list getting one this year) but my absolute is the T-Rex Wine bottle holder!!!
I am so in love this thing!!!
Seriously, what wine drinker doesn’t need this and at just $38 you can get one as a gift for someone on your list and one for yourself with no guilt!
You absolutely have to check out Clark’s store because this guy is seriously talented! You’re going to love all of his unique items!
2. A glass floral bouquet from Broken Art Glass
My friend Kam is owner of Broken Art Glass and makes the most beautiful glass flowers and my favorite, glass dragonflies that are made out of repurposed spoons! I adore these little things!
While Kam is currently living in Wyoming, she is from Wadsworth (little secret, I actually graduated with Kam, Clark, and Kendra – WHS Class of 97 is pretty darn talented) and is planning a move back to Ohio soon!
Her stained glass work is seriously breath taking! While you can certainly choose to gift a beautiful stained glass flower (starting at only $18), you can do even better and create a one of a kind masterpiece by commissioning a custom ordered glass piece! Either way, you can’t go wrong and I promise that no one else is giving a custom designed glass piece this year (you know, unless they read this blog too)!
3. Holiday wreaths from TLC4Crafts
What do you get for someone on your list who loves to decorate for the Holidays?? An awesome handmade holiday wreath! TL wreaths start at just $25 with this adorable one for only $45!
Don’t think you have to stop at holiday wreaths either! Tammie can do all sorts of styles and designs, you can get OSU, Browns,…
There are all sorts of different options to choose from! Make sure to check out her Facebook page to see all of her great designs.
4. Candles and Bath bombs from Magic City Melts
Candles and Bathbombs are the perfect little for all of those people on your list that you want to make sure know you are thinking about them. Throw in a Starbucks gift card and you’re done with the perfect little gift to help make them feel special!
Kendra at Magic City Melts has so many yummy scents ranging from Hot Chocolate in an adorable little mug to rainbow Unicorn Farts and with prices starting at just $4, these are perfect for the kiddos’ teachers, your hairdresser, heck, even your mailman would love these candles.
